How to get your project hosted on repo.hu
The project needs to meet the following requirement:
- must be released as free software (GPL, LGPL, public domain are automatically accepted, other licenses are considered)
- must not take up excess disk space on the server
- must not violate other's copyright
- must be "useful" - this is a totally subjective matter and is decided by the sysadmin
- the maintainer must be accessible
On the other hand, hosting a project on repo.hu is free. There are a few
limitations, tho:
- somewhat limited bandwidth - much better than a home broadband but don't expect to be able to achieve gigabit/sec downloads
- no much redundancy - single server
- the service is based on svn - no plans to support cvs, hg, git or anything else, especially that there are free hosting services for those anyway
- the full svn repository will be public (read-only), no hidden directories
- at the moment svn user accounts (write access) is maintained by hand by the sysadmin (requests are accepted over email or IRC)
If you have a project that meets our requirements and the above policy meets
yours, please send a mail to repohu (at) igor2.repo.hu
